I actually resubscribed after about a year of inactivity and promptly found out that almost every facet has been tweaked, rendering my old spreadsheets and tools inoperable. My first impression was my avatar spazzing out in the newfangled Caldari Captain's Quarters, trying in vain to climb the stairs.

Yes, Eve is calling me too. Then i remember how much time it requires to accomplish anything within the game and how maddingly dull things can get after all that time was spent doing the same tedios task and I shut that wisper right off and download STO instead hoping for the best. But whom am I kidding, EvE is always calling.

Great episode! Glad you guys had a chance to check-out Ticket to Ride and Small World. Concerning map size in Small World: SW is a remake of a game called "Vinci". In Vinci, without a full complement of players, it was possible (if not likely) that one player would have a goodly chunk of the map to themselves and, as such, could expand and decline relatively unmolested. By reducing (or expanding) the map based upon the number of players it all-but-guarantees there will be conflict amongst the competing powers. In short: no free rides.

Greg Bear, like Orson Scott Card, used to write books I enjoyed reading. But as soon as the book was finished, I just had a memory of tedium and insufficient editing (books shouldn't be that long!)

Thanks for reading this, saving me the need to find an excuse not to bother :).
