Not to be too pedantic, but sunk cost is an accounting term and is very real, not a fallacy at all.
Just went to see The Hobbit (now that Christmas is over) and Sylvester McCoy did indeed steal every scene he was in. And I found out that my wife didn’t know who he was. The divorce papers will be filed!
